Right folks, the decision is made - its going to be a Cooper - I'm skint

and the mpg and insurance savings are too good to miss!

So armed with what we know, it's time to start speccin'!

Here's my thoughts based on what we know so far - though obviously UK options aren't confirmed yet but I'm too excited to wait

Outside:
Astro Black with White Roof
Chrome Line Exterior
Chrome Mirrors
Aero kit (if it's not ugly!)
White indicators all round (the orange bulbs have GOT to go)
White bonnet stripes

Inside:
Chilli Pack
Sat Nav (this is a must - the speedo around it is so cool and makes centre console look better)
Auto Air con
Full red leather seats & door trims - for that tart's boudoir look - tasty!

Chrome line interior
Interior light package
Sport Button
Sports Suspension
Harmon Kardon

Mod (Yes, already!)
Colour coded wheelarches & plastic trim - there's so much of it it needs it!

Maybe:
Sunroof (won't use it but will not having it mean a blank toggle switch in the roof :

can't have that!)
Hands free entry (Lazy though)
Xenons (don't look as nice as the current ones)

The above does bear a very close resemblance to my current Cooper. Well if it aint broke...

though I have finally yielded to pressure from the MINI2 fashion police and will not be getting white wheels.

How's that for starters?

Sweet!! Id go for a Cooper, buts thats only because I can get one cheaper as regards the price and insurance. Also, Id go for pretty much the same spec as you!! The only thing I wouldn't have are the bonnet stripes, and I'd have a sunroof for definate. Oh, and Crown Spokes

I don't think an aero kit will be available for launch though. Well nothing has been announced anyway

Had a nice chat with my dealer on Saturday and gave him a deposit, got myself a build slot for delivery late November which I'm quite surprised about...apparently all the really early R56 orders were for the MCS.

Spec as above, but Sport button isn't available for the Cooper and for the sake of my fillings, I won't be having Sports suspension.

Have added
Storage compartment pack which means the alloy trim in front of the passenger flips down to reveal a cubby hole, and you get nets and hooks in the boot.
Anthracite headlining as it will be a nice contrast to the red
Exterior mirror pack with electrically and heated folding mirrors.

My dealer even said Aero kit might be available from launch which would be good so I can roll the cost up into the finance.

Despite the fact that my R56 will cost about £3k more than my current Cooper, the monthly payments are pretty much the same on the Mini Select as the value in 4 years time was about £2.6k more, so better residuals are anticipated

ROLL ON NOVEMBER!

What a great spec!
Only thing I would add to that would be the Xenons!

I did! I was driving my lovely Cooper this morning (Avoided crappy A406 today!) and thinking "Why am I doing this - my MINI is great?!" Answer: Because I can and life is short!

you might have production delays with the storage kit i believe.

Sounds great- CR/B isn't a that oft-seen combo, so I'm looking forward to seeing yours

Getting very interested in Cooper

Very excited!!! Mum and dad are tight, so the spec would be a little restrained. If we go ahead (and if we do it'll be pretty soon), it'd be the following;

Mini Cooper
Pepper White
Black roof
Black bonnet stripes
Spot lights
Cloth leather ray cream white
Chilli Pack
Flame spoke alloys
Colour line cream
Piano Black dashboard.

Not much, as if it were my car, my list would probably be twice as long, but hey its not my money lol.
