Blue Cooper Chequered Roof etc.

Hi i'm about to go to my dealer and spec up my new cooper. I was just wondering if there was any plans for chequered roofs and auxilary driving lights being avaliable on the new model? I've not read anything on here and i'm hoping there are i really want them!!

A whole new range of dealer-fit accessories is coming for the new MINI, but BMW are concentrating on launching the car first (understandably!)

There are no dates yet for the new range of accessories, but the good thing about dealer-fits is that they don't stop you ordering or taking delivery of your new car, as you can always take it back later...

Agreed makes it nice to always be able to do mods to your MINI.

I suppose the only downside to them not being available from launch is you can't incorporate them into the finance of the car

Of course you can. Get the dealership to add an amount of 'cashback' to the finance that can be used to add dealer-fit stuff at a later date, it all adds up to the same!

Well there you go, learn something new everyday! I didn't realise you could do that with finance agreements

Have you actually seen anything that proves they are available, or has your dealership just charged you for them and put them on an order?

I don't want to sound negative, or take any of the excitement away, but I tried checking availability of these items yesterday and there isn't even a part number yet...

I was told no lamps available yet, but they made a note on my order to add when available.
Still want roof graphics too.

It was announced by MINI on Monday (sorry for the delay, or if this is already old news!) that Additional Headlights, Chequered Roof Decals, Chequered Door Mirror Caps and Chequered Interior Mirror Covers have been released for the R56 to enable dealers to dress-up their launch demonstrators.

Prices, and fitting times, are basically the same as for current model.

They also sent us a list of all the accessories that will be available, but without prices unfortunately. This link should (if I've done it properly!) give you a PDF file of them all. It is interesting to note that MINI claim the wheels that were also available on the outgoing model are not an existing product!

EDIT: If someone can tell me how to post a PDF file I'll put it back on!!!
