Offline | Cooper Costs Can anyone advise please. Ordered Cooper on 22nd September ...revised/checked spec and price on 29th September Code MF32 Mini Cooper £10,646.81 + £1863.19 = £12,510.00 + obvious options no change there? BUT NOW noticed price rise to £12,995 on configurator. Contract says Item 6 ...the dealer MUST notify me in writing IF a change is proposed....bearing in mind the delay is down to Minis inability to supply storage pack to allow original November delivery...now waiting to January. In fact dealer didn't tell me of delay I told them a week before confirmed. How likely is this increase to happen...? Why should I get charged for the privilege of waiting? Thoughts please? Anyone else in similar position? Thanks Chris |

Offline | I think you need to add the "On The Road" costs of £342 for delivery and number plates, £38 for First registration and £100 for Road Tax. A total of £480 which when added to your £12510 gives £12990. The correct price is £12995 although the Configurator had it wrong to start with. I believe Scrogg once indicated the OTR costs would increase by £5 at the end of the year so if you take delivery before 31 December you may save £5! |

Offline | Chris, is it the delivery costs that add on to give the actual 'on road' price of £12,995? I do think the basic price of the Cooper is £12995. I think you have just included the VAT to get to £12510. I think all the delivery costs are approx £400 which makes sence. You would have to pay these delivery costs if it was ready to collect now or January. I hope this helps. |
