Offline | R56 Cooper, Fast as ****! Just took delivery of my shiny new Cooper in Chilli red w/ black roof n stripes.... I have to say WOW, what a car!!! I am only 17 years old and am very fortunate to be able to have this car, after driving my 2001 Mini One for the 3months i've been passed moving onto this new Cooper seems like a completely new driving experiance. The clutch is so light and the power through the gears in PHENOMINAL I can't stop smiling....Even compared to my girlfriends 2006 Park Lane the power over the last Cooper's seems alot more significant that what the figures suggest... maybe the engine is more responsive??? I dont know but on my drive to Telford from Wolverhampton tonight the amount of power I found in 3rd when overtaking was surreal..... And the ambiant lighting and sports suspensions and sound system and everything, i could go on lol. O and because I ordered a pepper white cooper with black roof and they got my order wrong (ordered chilli red instead ) they have ordered the pepper white cooper and I can expect that in the first week of january with an aero kit and spoiler and r90's in anthracite hehe. At no extra cost! There buying the chilli red cooper for the same 16,500 i paid for it and then i just need to cough up for the extras on the pepper white. top notch customer service Mini Cooper Drivers have added oomph! |

Online | They sure have. The R56 Cooper is a big improvement compared to the current. Actually it was the cooper that impressed me the most. I did take both a MCS and a MC for a testdrive yesterday and as I said..loved the new cooper. Mostly because it´s a totally different car to drive. But offcourse thats my opinion ![]() |

| Not a happy bunny. | yeah, i'm probably ****ing my dealer off immensely by asking him if he has a delivery date, reg details etc etc. i'm still too excited to be impatient. well, i'm impatient, but happy impatient rather than angry impatient ! edit: if mine's delayed, lock yourself in your houses, cos i'll go on a rampage ;] |

![]() Skadoosh! | Wow! To own an R56 MINI Cooper when you're only 17 must cost an absolute fortune on the insurance! I know that because even though I've held a driving licence for 6 years, I had no no-claims bonus (was on my parents' car prior to this) and so my insurance is still relatively expensive for a 52 plate Cooper. Good luck with the new car though and enjoy it - I'm sure you will! ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Oh Yes!!!!! ....Actually Churchill said Oh No!!!!!.......My first quote was £18,903 via confused.con......then loads of £8,000ish .......£4,000 ish...quite a few call backs to me at £3400...several £2800 AND MANY of big names GET LOST. Finally got it close to £2000 fully comp with Tracker Echo, Pass Plus, 12,000miles pa. garaged. Considering my dad had a 3.0litre Ghia Capri on his 17th birthday took his test the same day and it cost him £330pa but the car cost £2400 in 1974. so % wise???not a great difference. |
