My dealer says that i am in the order system and i have been since the 18th but says he cant give me a build/delivery date.

Is this right, everyone else seems to have date why not me?

N.B Its a Cooper w/ Chili Lightning blue.

Im in the same boat, ive had mine on order since end of October, my dealer cant give me date, just said it would be Dec (maybe before xmas). I called another dealer 2 weeks ago and asked and they said it would be Dec 18th for a lightning blue if i ordered from them.

Orders can sit on the system for weeks before they reach the status of 'Confirmed By Production Control' and get allocated a build date. It sounds like your order is still at the 'Confirmed' status, along with the majority of orders for colours not yet released, so your dealer will not be able to give you a build date yet.

I wouldn't worry yet about it not being built in December, as things move very quickly once a build slot is allocated.

Car was ordered on 22nd September, slight spec change on 29th ...should have been here for launch.

....end of November.

.....then Christmas .

.....But now end of January due to storage pack? ANYONE else got any info / updates on storage pack problems?

IF it then turns up without the i-pod link I will be a touch frustrated.

It will be turning up without the iPod link, as this is as dealer-fit accessory.

as 4 months is long enough to be prepared.

Our Pepper white/black roof w/chili pack etc. is due for the 19/01/2007. BTW it was ordered on the 22nd November

My car was ordered on the 14th of october. I was then informed the storage pack would delay my order til early 2007 so removed it. My car has just finished production and is on its way to the dealer. I have been told i can definately expect to have my car on the 04/12 but more than likely this thursday/friday.

My car took about 2 weeks to build once it was given a chasis number and entered production.

If the paint isn't dry by Friday lunchtime I want answers !

Your cars being built this week

I thought week 49 was the first week a Lightning Blue car was being built.

Dunno when mines being built ! Lightning Blue is a Deecember colour, so was hoping they'd get the tins open first thing Friday !
Deposit has been in for some time, so hopefully it'll be an early LB/W build.
If not what's another week on the train !?

mine's in transit now, arriving at the main distribution centre in Marchwood tomorrow, at the dealer by Thursday afternoon. Then they'll PDI it and all that, and I'll collect it on Monday.

cant collect it on Saturday because there are no admin staff around

CANT WAIT !

I've order mine on the 18th Nov,
It's a Sparkling Silver Cooper+ Chili + Sunroof + many

They said I'll get the car before Christmas, now the dealer said it will be the last week of Dec or beginning of Jan...
