United-States No manual transmission for US until March builds?

The MiniUSA site configurator is showing that the manual transmission is not available for the Cooper until the March build. Do you know if that is accurate? It appears that there are plenty of UK models being produced with manuals.

I couldn't imagine that they would shift gears and begin producing only Coopers with automatic transmissions for the next four months, but that seems to be the case, at least according to the configurator.

Can you shed any light on that situation?

I can't explain why MINI has chosen to do this, but you are right. MINI will not produce any manual transmission Coopers until March production

There should be, but I guess it means you have to buy an automatic. I want the navigation system, so I'll be waiting that long anyway.
