I ordered my new Cooper last Friday, and cos its the new 07 plate, I can't pick it up until 1st March - it's killing me waiting! 5 weeks!! Aaagh!!

I've gone for Mellow Yellow with Chili Pack, multi funtion steering wheel / cruise control, chrome mirror caps and automatic wipers / lights. Wish I'd gone for the visibility pack now after finding out on here what that was! But I'm not going to change my order cos I don't want to do anything that might slow up the process!

Has anyone on here had a Mellow Yellow Cooper with the yellow roof? I'd really like to see a picture! Only seen them with the white roof and mirror caps.

I hope you realise what Mellow Yellow will do to the re-sale desirability of your new Mini!!!

I would go for the black roof rather than the yellow to give it a bit of contrast.

Visibility pack is a great option and I reckon you should speak to your dealer and see if you can add it - you can usually make changes pretty late - if you havent already done so then upgrade the audio system too because the standard fit is rubbish - not ordering it for my R56 Cooper S is my biggest regret of the year so far!!!!!!!!!!

I doubt a MINI in that colour will fair as badly as some other yellow cars would.

I wonder if any dealer people would care to comment?

Me Me I've got Yellow Mellow Cooper with yellow roof. There is as thread going about with pics. I have since added just last Friday the coolest every roof graphic not been weather to take pic.

Oh and don't listen to anyone about the colour costing you when it is time to trade in. It's the coolest ever colour I have had on a Mini and I have had a few

Well the yellow might put some buyers off, but it would be a plus for me - so I suppose its a matter of personal taste! I have the Radio Boost /CD with my new Mini - is that what you mean?

That's interesting; I've now seen several Mellow Yellows with black and yellow roofs, but none with white. At the risk of offending anyone, I personally think the yellow and black looks a little too waspish, and the all-yellow a little too "flat". I'm seriously tempted, though, by yellow and white. I wasn't keen on this combination with liquid yellow as that was perhaps too insipid, but with the strength of the "mellow" (a misnomer if ever there was one!) yellow, it looks to me like it should work. Does anyone have any comments -- particularly if you've seen one "in the flesh"?

@mmalc: I considered mellow yellow with a white roof myself, ordered blue/white instead because I have been driving a yellow Renault for 5 years now... Like you I find the yellow and black a bit waspy and besides that, almost everyone chooses the black roof, so the white roof is much more special. And a very nice combination too! Here are some pictures. Seeing those almost makes me want to reconsider my order!

I don't have pictures, I'm afraid, but I have seen one and sat inside...

In case it helps, for me, it was just a little too much -- a bit more waspy -- and the yellow trim doesn't quite match the paint. Of course, paint and fabric are probably never going to be the same colour, and they don't always have to match exactly, but this just seemed a little off. That said, I generally prefer more muted colours inside anyway -- I find them less distracting.

Here are some additional photos I found showing the yellow/white combination.

Personally, I like the black roof and mirrors and that's what I ordered for mine. But you can't go wrong with any version of Mellow Yellow. I even like the fried egg effect of the turn signal lamps with the yellow paint.

I currently own a 06 MINI- Hyper Blue/White. Bought it new and now has 54k miles on it. On March 8, I ordered an 07 Mellow Yellow/White with white wheels and bonnet stripes. Also, Xenon, front fogs, sport seats ,chrome line int, cold wheather pkg. I have a center armrest in my 06, I don't care for it, so not in my new one.
