Camera fully charged, my first ever drive is a 140 mile trip to Malmsbury in Wiltshire tomorrow evening. Booked in for the iPod interface on Saturday at **** Lovett in Swindon. Then give her a good wash ready for the pics. Weather has given out good for the weekend so I can test the Go Kart handling out.

Cant wait..................

Great spec!! I really like Sparkling silver.. Think it may be my next colour.. Listen to me! Next car.. Only got this one last Thursday!! Not that I bored of it - far from it. It just gets better and better. Hit the 500 mile mark today, not too long til the "running in" period is over!!

I really like my sat nav, just wish there was split screen. Emailed Mini and this is the reponse I got:

Dear Ms Bartlett,

Thank you for your email dated March 3rd, 2007 regarding the Satellite
Navigation in your MINI Cooper.

We are sorry to learn that the Satellite Navigation System does not suit
with your requirements. With the model update this part also went under
extensive modification.

Thank you for your feedback. We confirm that we have received a few
similar comments and continue to pass the feedback on to the MINI
Product team.

We can confirm at this point there is not an update available to enable
the split screen function.

We are sorry that you have had cause to contact us under these
circumstances and assure you that MINI UK is giving this matter our full
attention.

Hi Harriet, yes this is my 1st Mini. However, I really wanted the previous incarnation but just could not tear myself away from a 3.2 Audi A3. But the time is right, the Tax is half the price, the insurance is half the price, the mpg is nearly double! The depreciation is a rock solid low, Gordon brown is going to kick ass on big engines come the Budget, and nothing is going to make you smile like driving a Mini.

I am 32 years of age and I feel like a 9 year old on Christmas Eve (except i'm not hoping for train set or some ninja turtles, anymore).

This website is fantastic, even the people who have a complaint to share about thier MINI experience are still 100% committed to being pure MINI.

I cant wait to share in the joy.

I will experiment with sat nav, and I do appreciate what you mean. If I am not 100% I wil also contact them.

If it was not for sparkling silver I would have got pw with black. It is a timeless combo and looks superb when just washed. There is a JCW MCS in PW at **** Lovett Swindon, check thier website, it is a great spec for good money. I almost considered cancelling my R56 MCS and buying that one.

I had heard this but when I rang Mini they said they didn't know of a release date yet and as you saw from the email, they don't know of an update at all! I hope we aren't all being fobbed off!

if you have time, could you take pictures of the interior of your mini (front and rear seats, door panels,....everywhere!! . my dealer dont have this redwood color and i m waiting to see it to order mine.
