12v connector

silly question but is there a 12v adaptor in the mini or do yo have to add the smokers pack

Yes you need the smokers pack, but I think that it is free

Comes as standard

with a plain black plug. The debate did the rounds in September as misleading info. Smokers pack just adds a lighter and (Coin Holder) ash tray for £0.

So went that route BUT ALL cars have 12v despite rumours to contrary back at launch.

It's infront of the gearstick, just between the two cupholders.

I think manufacturers need to start putting power points in better positions to aid portable devices such as SatNavs and mobile phones. Having a cable dangling over the dash is impractical...

It's worth getting the smoker pack, if only for the ashtray which you can use to keep your coins in for the parking meters etc

I agree who's going to be the first to add a power point on top on the dash or even better an opening you can drop a cable through, perhaps into the glove box, where there is a power point. This will tidy the cable away then.

It was acceptable in the 80's

Had no problems with mine (no smoker pack). The wires are a bit messy though!
