Got a letter this morning first thought was NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I am trading it in 7 weeks.

Then i read the next bit......

Recall for Retrofitting an ashtray

What a joke, and I have to ring and make an apppointment!! MINI sure do like to make a big deal out of nothing

I got another recall a few days later for a fuse in the air con or something? So got the fuse fitted and the ashtray. Took almost an hour though which I thought was a bit too long!

Hi Miss M. Mine done as well. I have now had 4 valets and washes. Keep the recalls coming.....the car looks as new.

I got my ashtray fitted, well dropped in place!!!!! on Jan 10th 2 days after getting the car. What happened to yours?

The novelty of the dealer continually washing your car will wear off

, it felt like I didn't wash mine for about the first 6 months cos it was always at the dealers and they were doing it

Nah my car has been 99.5% perfect since Jan 2007 the odd recall for bits and bobs BUT NO problems beyond that. Love the car and the finish is superb. I think I was lucky compared to some but not all R56 models are having problems. On the down side the croisants could be better at the dealers. Being a student I appreciate such freebies.
