My Cooper details, delivery in January

So, my wait for delivery begins. Only my second car so far, first one being a Mazda 626 bought with zero passion, mistake now fully corrected.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A Chili red Cooper with white roof/mirrors
Chili pack, Ray leather in black/black
Bridge spoke 16" wheels (thought about these in white and could still change my mind)
White indicators

Radio Boost CD (I understood I needed this to be able to later add a CD-changer&DAB tuner, apparently I only need some wiring add on to get line out for a sub woofer? )

Airbag disable
Some sort of extended interior livery? (This was the question mark on our brochure, does this come automatically if following three are chosen -->

Rooster red color line
Piano black plastics
Chrome line interior

Athrasite roof
Smokers package (don't smoke)
darkened rear windows
heated mirrors and washers
Alarm
spare wheel + jack (Any pictures on what this tire looks like, size?)
delete of Cooper text in tail

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Does anybody have the English version of the equipment list in pdf? I was unable to find one from Mini.uk. The localized has some errors, which I would like to show for my dealer. Nothing bad, but things that might upset someone paranoid like me.

I have still to acquire wheels for winter tires, I didn't want to opt for the BMW set costing a cool 1500e (16" runflats). I'm hoping I could find a set of those telephone dial 15"s from first gen Cooper + high profile studded tires for them. I'm not a fan of runflats, so I'm switching to normal ones even in summer ones as soon as Ive used the one that come with the car. I have had only a single puncture in my 12 year driving history.

I'm a bit nervous on how the Mini will tolerate winter, mainly starts from -30 Celsius, with only the engine getting a heater. Then there is the corrosion handling, which I wasn't encouraged but what really should be done to all cars.
More on this when I actually get the car.

Red Cooper Welcome to the time of your life!

try this thread for your winter questions...it sold me on the MINI for my climate.

http://www.mini.ca/en/More_MINI/Wint...g/default.aspx

also, I'd go with the white wheels...they're a bit of work to keep clean, but the look is classic, especially with the white roof & mirrors.

another amazing option are the heated seats...I use them year round.

Last suggestion...IPOD adapter and your CD changer will be unnecessary...make sure you get the Multifunction steering wheel so you can switch tunes/volume without taking your hands off the wheel!

I'm in Minnesota and we get a bit of chill here from time to time so trust me-she'll start.

Changed the wheels to white. I feel ok with my choices, now its just a loong wait.

Heated seats were standard equipment, in fact Ive never seen a car without those. I'm unsure whether I will ever need these I POD things. I'm old fashioned, I play CD albums, at most I might make collections of my albums to mp3 just to minimize CDs in car.

HAAA!!!

Apparently my Mini gets cheaper. In addition to that quite good deal on Chili, I'm also benefiting of a vehicle tax renovation in our country. Until now all cars have paid a rough +90% tax. This now changes to 10-40% depending on how much CO2 the car produces.
My Cooper will drop some 3000e in list price and as I will get the car in -08, Ill benefit from this, had I got the car already, I would have lost the money.
Sucks for all the people who have bought an economical car this autumn.
I should know next week the exact amount.

Also, Dooper will now fall under Cooper in list price.

Hop!

I'm getting my Mini probably on the first week of 2008, that is if the dealer isn't too much tired from New year.

I bought winter tires which I'm having placed on the Bridge Spokes that came with the car.
Now I'm slightly unsure if this is wise. Do these original alloys stand corrosion how well?

I'm thinking on getting something like OZ leggeras or BBS wheels for summer, but I might still be able to change my mind and use the originals as summer wheels and get steel ones for those winter tires.

First visit on a gas station today.
Trip computer gave 6.8 l/100km for my first 400km, true calculated was 6.72, I guess it can be relied on, I wasn't expecting it to be very precise.
