Looks like a write off to me. The damage to the rear quarter will be the decider between fixed or written off, from the pics it looks fairly substantial. Insist that its taken to a BMW body shop as the car is so new.

You have the right to request it goes to MINI to be repaired. I would certainly do that simply because of the age of the car

Ouch!

It has to go to MINI, because alot of insurance recommended garages don't do as good AFAIK.

My mum had someone drive across her front end when she had her Gen1 Cooper ('05) and took it to MINI, went against where the insurance wanted her to take it. And had to go to court to make the other driver admit it was there fault etc etc etc.

Just hope the damage on the rear hasn't damaged anything major underneath.

Yes, insist for a repair at approved MINI body shop, of course the insurance company will recomend indy's because they are cheaper!
If the roof or higher structual has been bent it will be written off, did you have gap Insurance?

Oh no, what a nightmare! What did the lorry driver say?

Agree that it needs to go to MINI. My mate has got a VW Beetle and someone hit it - her insurance co wanted it to go to an independent garage but she insisted it went to VW. Ins co allowed it to but not until their assessor had been and looked at it first, and they also wouldn't sort a hire car out for her until then either. So it did delay things but was worth it cos her Beetle is now good as new.

Hope you get the mini sorted.

Make sure you take it to a mini approved repairer could cause you no end of trouble in the long run if you don't . Have you tried someone like helphire? they were great when someone ran into the back of my TT?
