2008 PW Mini Cooper

Myself and fiancee have just ordered a new car.

Mini Cooper
Pepper White
Black Roof/Mirrors
Black Bonnet stripes
Chili Pack
16" Bridge Spoke Alloys
Cloth/Leather Ray Cream White
Colour Line Cream Interior
Auto Aircon
White indicators

Very happy. Paperwork has all been sent off today. Being told that it wont be built till some stage in May, with PDI expected first week of June. We are selling our car this weekend too, so its going to be a long wait. Luckily we live 30 minutes walk from work and have shops near by.

Hi, sounds great.

I suggest you add a different dash/door trim to the standard version.

Piano Black would look great with this colour combo.

Red/Black R56 Cooper Stripes, CHILLI, ASC+T, MINI HiFi, Piano Black Dash, Red Colour Line, Heated Mirrors/Jets, Spare Wheel, Smoker Pack!
Mods - Cooper S pedals, Cheqered interior mirror, chrome side repeaters

It most certainly would It's £110 well spent, but at the end of the day, its still a lot of money.

Maybe at some stage, but we had a budget and tried to stick to it. Its so easy to get carried away with the options on a Mini, and "ooh, that wont put payments up much" before you know it, theres another £20 a month going out.

Anyway, thanks for the welcome guys, cant wait for the car to arrive now!

Pepper White - good choice (the colour of my next MINI!)

I would agree that an interior finish is 100 quid well spent, because then you get a door elipse in the same finish, rather than just grey pastic you get if you don't specify one.

Well done & hope the wait isn't too annoying!

If you want to save money, you can easily live without auto-aircon (regular is fine), the standard 16" wheels with CHILLI are not an extra £60 and the clear indicators are also a waste of money IMO.

Get Piano Black, have you seen the standard doors?

Standard chili pack alloys are dreadful, auto aircon is a must if you have aircon, as it saves having to piddle with controls. Used to climate on other cars, so its money well spent imo. Clear indicators freshen the look up no end too.

Will look at piano black as an option aftterwards, as at the moment we are happy with the spec and it can be retrofitted cant it?

Of course, but some people manage to use a bit of tact

Enjoy your car when it arrives - with Piano Black dash

The standard wheels are much smoother looking than the bridge spokes (especially in white) in my opinion... but then in my opinion the white indicators are required to finish off the look of the car (well with a white roof anyway) but then thats why every Mini is different. Really you should think about getting a nicer trim, its the key accessory in making the interior look classy

Heard from the supplying dealer today. Late June is the expected delivery, with then a further delay booking a transporter to get the car upto us. Doh!! We just sold our car, and were originally told 8 weeks.

I also ordered a Pepper White Mini Cooper with black roof last month. The HKG dealer said it would arrive in August. PW seems to be the 'trendy' colour recently. Looks great in the showroom. Wonder how it would look in the flesh.

Anybody knows since when the Pepper White was available on a Mini. My old 2001/2002 catalogue don't have that colour.

I think PW was introduced on the 1st gen MINI in '03 I believe...

It was introduced in the R56 in late December '06.
