Anyone got any details on when the new shape ONE will be available, and any details on it?? Had a search but could'nt find much on it.

Nothing confirmed yet, apart from it will be around in the first 3rd of 2007.

i've heard it will have a new 1.4 engine , dont know if thats right cus i'm always reading rubbish in car magazines!

I don't think that's confirmed, but it's correct. The old MINI One could also be had in 1.4 petrol in some countries too.

My dealer told me it would be a 1.4 with 6 speed box, and would be pretty much like a COOPER, and as Paul said, out around March/April (ish) time (although it was also added nothing was confirmed

But as with anything MINI - who knows, it all adds to the anticipation

If it's a 1.4, it could have a fair bit of poke, but good fuel economy for those who couldn't bear to drive a MINI Tractor all day... (not me btw!!)

Im quite interested in this because when in 2 years time, I'll be 18 years old, and a One will be more affordable to insure than a Cooper. Mum and Dad have promised to partly pay for my 2nd car, so maybe this will be the break. Its either this, an R50 high spec'd One, or similar Cooper.

Says in the table that the Cooper D has an over-boost. Hinting a Sport button maybe???

The Over Boost comes is on regardless of whether the sport button is on or not.

The Sport button will be available on the petrol Cooper in March so it may be available for the Cooper D as well.
