so what plans have you got for it, or is it top secret at the moment?

My only big plan so far is to get my wheels fitted, which should transform the cars looks.

Apart from that all I intend on doing is to get it polished up, some fluffy dice fitted and to enjoy a summer of shows

Ohhh and I'm going to mentally blank out the fact that it has got those reflectors in the back bumper

I'd love to get it tuned up with an Alta CAI.. exhaust etc.. But coming from a 95bhp 1.4 I'm going to take my modding slowly, and get use to it as standard first

LOL Cheers mate!! As for changing gear.. I'm relying on being able to just leave it in 6th now I've got all that extra power

I'm going to the dealers in about 30 mins.. I'll try and get some better pics

Aye well you can leave it it 6th when you have got enough speed on to do so, but I wouldn't recommend trying to set off in 6th mate!!

And yeah get some better pics up on here mate!!

That looks ace Serby, your joining the PS club now

The colour is easy to clean and even after a quick clay it looks stunning!

That looks fantastic!! The clear rear lights are the best mods on any 1st Gen Pre-Facelift Mini - The reflectors definatly wouldn't out me off!! Don't worry about the fuel economy - If you can afford it now, then go for it - You may not be able to in 5 or 6 years time. Many congratulations on your new purchase

As much as I loved the R56 One, it didn't have the dramticism, soul and character that I have loved in my previous cars

I sure as heck will miss its fuel economy and cheap insurance though. Despite being a fair bit older and with more miles, I think that the S should be good fun, and look pretty darn tasty once my wheels are on!

I didn't intend on changing to an S until later in the year to be honest. As soon as I saw this one though I thought it was too good to miss. Especially as I know that I wouldn't have been able to afford to buy an aero kit, stripes etc.. on top of the cost of a more externally standard S.

Here are some more pics, they hadn't even got it on the forecourt when I saw it, so here it is having its MINI Cherished health check thingy yesterday....

Despite what it says on the boot.. it is an S!

I'll start a new thread when I pick the car up.. Its going to seem a long wait!!

P.s. I forgot, the first mod is going to be Halo sidelights

I've still got them in the garage from when I sold my convertible

I'm not sure what has happened to the badge, whether it has just dropped off or if someone has half inched it

I did wonder about whether to get it debadged.. but thought that seeing as I seem to have waited ages for an S, I'm not hiding what it is

Cheers mate! All I can say is go for it, they are really special cars in my opinion. The logic behind my decision was that petrol is getting more and more expensive.. so I might as well get one now before I can't afford fuel anymore lol
