Yep thats the one mate! I was offered a test drive in it as I wanted to drive a supercharged S, and that was the latest one they had in.

In the end though I asked to go out in a '53 plate CR/B S as it was more the sort of age I was looking at getting.

Will be on the lookout for you next week

I know what you mean, I've tried to take my mind of things for the moment because due to it being a Bank Holiday weekend.. and the DVLA being slow at transferring plates.. its going to be nearly 3 weeks from when I bought the car to when I pick it up!!

I've gotta wait till the middle of next week now

So are you picking your car up on your private plate, or was there a private plate on there and it has to be transferred back?

My private plate is being transferred from my R56 One to the Cooper S, which previously just had a normal reg. So yeah, I'll be picking it up on my plate.

It's not only the fact that its taking soooo long but also that it costs £80 too! I'm not one for getting mad though, it should be worth the wait. It just seems to have taken foreverrrrr!!

Aye.. its going to be wierd. I'm going to have a car that I'll want to be driving ALL the time, yet I'll be spending more time taking the bus and tram to uni than ever before to keep costs down!!

As much as I loved the R56 One, it didn't have the dramticism, soul and character that I have loved in my previous cars

I sure as heck will miss its fuel economy and cheap insurance though. Despite being a fair bit older and with more miles, I think that the S should be good fun, and look pretty darn tasty once my wheels are on!
