i agree

Over 4500 miles I have averaged approx 38 mpg, alot of that is motorway etc but am happy

In the end it all comes down to how heavy your right foot is

More Air + More Fuel = More Power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am getting 43mpg! Well chuffed with that. I have just done 1600 miles in my One! I can get aroun 360 miles per tank spending £43 on Super unleaded (Shell V-Power) The MPG is miles better than my old mini one (2004)

Thats interesting, I can only fit £35 worth in my cooper Why would the One have a larger tank?

Not sure if the tank is bigger. But i run my car down to zero miles before filling it right up again. Sometimes i can run on zero for about 10 miles! At least i know there is a reserve tank. I always have to fill up at Shell, so if its on 1 miles, i risk it and travel to my local shell station!

The last fill was £43, the one before that was £39. Definately a smaller tank than the old mini one, i could fill that with nearly £50 and it would last 5 days! At least my R56 one is cheaper to fill up, and i can run it for two weeks no problem.

Ah well... thats really bad for the engine... says in the handbook, dont run below 40 miles range I think it is. Not 10 miles past!!

I know, i think its about 35 miles in my handbook. I have asked my local Mini dealer and they said that its just a precautionary incase the on board computer is slightly out. Obviously it can harm your engine if you run out of fuel. But as long as there is fuel in the tank, enough to keep you going. There wil be no problems with the engine.
I ran about 10 miles on zero on the clock the last time i filled up. But this time it wasnt out of choice. I couldnt find a single petrol station anywhere. And wierdly enough - The first petrol station i came accross was a Shell garage on the A50! How lucky am i?

I dont plan on doing that again. But i will always run to the last 5 or 10 miles, especially now i know that the car has a brilliant reserve tank!

Well i should imagine with normal driving, 50mpg wouldnt be a problem. But i would hardly call my driving normal - I like high revvs! obviously when i was running my car in i was nursing it for the first 1200 miles. But now im having fun. And i never thought it, but i actually love my car. Its the best drive ever!

ive only just got my mini one hmm 2 weeks ago done a massive 400 miles at most lol but im averaging 42.6 i think at moment, most of my trips are only 3-4 miles so doesnt really get warmed up in that time, what i have noticed is that if i tke a trip which is sat 10-13 miles its way way more ecconomical, im goin to leeds at end of next week so will be first motorway trip i think it will be interesting to see what happens. also i filled up the other day with red lights on and just under 80 mile sin tank, cost me £30 and id done near enough 300 miles which i think is pretty good, infact i was real chuffed with that....note.....im postin a thread about my mini one also..so have a look pls ta

I'm getting 25.4mpg out of my 2003 JCW S.

Ouch even after only 1 month its starting to hurt.

Might be looking to trade for a Dooper in the New Year.

My one just coming up to 2000 miles and I get anywhere between 43 and 53 mpg depending on how I drive it - the cheapest car I have ever had to run. MPG on Shell V Power is noticeably better and the power difference is noticeable too - as it says in the handbook

I've got just under 12,000 miles on my 06 and I am getting around 30 mpg. But really, who cares? Who buys a Mini for fuel mileage? Its just so cool!

I had an R56 MINI ONE as a courtosey car while MINI 'fixed' mine. Had it for two days, and it has the stop/start thingie to save fuel which i cant see helped really. I dont know if it was because i was driving it like it was a cooper but i used a whole tank of fuel in two days - did about 200/250 miles!
