DIY Problems with Bearing on mini one

Alrite, i need some help. my bearing on the front right wheel is out of alignment and its causing big problems for me. 1st theres the irritating noise it makes when traveling at rapid speeds and turning, even gradualy, to the left. Then theres the fact that it is effecting my tracking in a big way, have just had to shell out for a new tire as the one that was on is now bald.
So can anyone tellme how big a job it would be to sort out the bearing myself and details on how to do it to a tight budget.
Any comments would be appreciated.

Manzi89, with a sexy 05 mini one!!!!!

the bearing is bolted to the hub from the rear by 4 13mm bolts. obviously the brake needs to be stripped completely and then these bolts are easily accessible. are you sure that the bearing is the cause of yor wheel misalignment? sound unlikely to me, more likely a knackered track rod end. try jacking the front wheel up individually and shake the wheels by hand and check for movement in the ball joint.

I knocked my tracking out, and asked MINI how much it would be to get it tracked expecting £50/£60...ow wrong i was to get your tracking back in line you will have to shed out £150! And apparently, the way the car is constucted you can only get it done at a MINI dealership and can only have all 4 done, not jsut the front/back.

you can get your tracking done anywhere really, but full 4 wheel alignment is definately best.
