Offline | Chili Pack Lowered Suspension When the Chili pack is ordered, is the MINI lowered? I'm sure on the 1st Gen (my brother has one) the Chili pack meant that the car was lowered slightly. I hope this is still the case ![]() |

Offline | No, the chili pack has never meant lowering. There used to be SS+ (standard on the S on the 1st gen) that was lower than sports suspension, but now there is regular (standard) or sports (optional), and both are the same height. |

Offline | Well if he has SS+ on a Cooper then it will be lower than a "normal" sports suspension on a Cooper, but all Cooper S have SS+ on the first generation. With the new cars, it's "normal" (more like the old sports) or "sports" (more like the old SS+), and they're both the same ride height. ![]() |

Offline | Most importantly. You will never sell your Cooper S on if it doesn't have a Chilli pack its what everyone looks for in the MINIs. Chilli consists of bi xenon lights,17-inch Crown Spoke light-alloy wheels, with Runflat System Component Tyres, Cloth/Leather "Ray" Upholstery, Front Fog lights, Floor mats in velour, Passenger Seat Height Adjustment, Interior Light Package, Manual Air conditioning, On-Board Computer, 3-Spoke Sports Leather Steering Wheel, Sports seat for driver and front passenger, Sports suspension (must be ordered explicitly), |

Offline | When I bought my first mcs in 03 the car next to mine was standard spec. No chili or air con. Not even metallic paint. Unusual but that's what the guy wanted. Buy what you want, you're the one who's driving it! |

Offline | Sorry for my "never sell" comment. I meant you are limiting your market second hand if you don't have Chili or some form of pack as these are what non mini experts look for. My boyfirend thinks its a way for BMW to say MCS only £15995! But you really need to buy a pack to get a standard spec MINI the glove compartment was part of a pack when I bought mine. So MCS Chili start at £17870. On the cherished website nationally there is only 4 MCS being sold with standard (non chili) specs. |
