I have just had my car booked in to my local dealership to get it fixed as i had an engine coolant leak. They lent me a new Mini One courtesy car for 2 days and was very excited when they passed over the keys!

Thinking that it wasn't going to be much different to my Mini One (1st Gen), bloody hell i was wrong!! As soon as i got in it, it felt much classier and BMW like.

I took off, and really think the gearbox is amazing!!! lovely to drive!! 6 speed gearbox doing around 50mpg!! much more impressive than mine doing around 33mpg. I was also impressed with the steering. Makes life a hell of a lot easier when maneouvering (or however you spell it). When i returned to my car today, it felt i was steering a 20 year old brick!! As glad as i was to see my Mini back, I already miss the 2nd gen One!! Amazing car!!

Has anyone else drove both gens yet and what do you think??
