Does MINI care about MINI2?

Was just reading Popeys post about facing his 2nd rejection and thinking about all the bad press on here (even Paul Mullet, the owner of this site has been let down and seems uninterested in buying another MINI at this time).

Does anyone know if MINI care about what is said on here, the people on here or even watch the discussions? We are, as members, surely the enthusiasts of the brand. I have not once seen a MINI representative come on here and hold up their corner, or, on the flip side, accept praise when good things are reported (which is to be fair not a rare occurrence ) . At a time when it seems more and more of the influential people on this forum are leaving the brand or having major problems surely it would be in their interest to look after those that fly the flag for their brand? I know we are a small percentage, but this must be a place where many potential owners research a MINI purchase. The MINI brand is that of a premium product with assumed high reliability and quality - but it seems the company is more interested in pumping out less than par cars, then relying on the good will of their customers and the fact that the failure rate isn't quite high enough to warrant 'bad press' in the mainstream media.

Personally I have always sung the MINI's praise on here and to friends, even after a new gearbox, clutch, flywheel, ECU and a major repair oversight by my local dealer. But my love is quickly being deflated... the lack of any personal touch and almost lack of care by the brand is getting me down. I am in the process of selling my car and don't think I shall ever own a MINI again. For me at least, it's gone from love to let down.

Any thoughts? Or am I just expecting too much from them?
