Double-Take Rallysport teams up with Mini Mania for the 2003 WSRC season.
Seattle, WA - Double-Take Rallysport (DTRally) is proud to welcome Mini Mania (
www.Minimania.com) as an official partner in the team’s bid for top honors in the 2003 Western States Rally Championship (WSRC) season. The Championship will take the team and Mini Mania across the west coast of North America with stops in California, Oregon, and Washington.
A new car… DTRally will be the first team in the United States to race the exciting New MINI Cooper in a Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) rally event. The team hopes to build on the make’s extensive racing heritage by returning the new generation of MINIs to its competition roots in rallying. Double-Take Rallysport will be the first to break this new ground by contesting the 2003 WSRC series in Production class. This class maintains the “showroom stock” condition of the vehicle but requires primarily safety upgrades with limited modifications to the engine and body work.
A new sponsor… Mini Mania has been actively supplying quality performance upgrades and technical assistance to the Mini community since 1987. With its proven track record and exceptional products, Mini Mania stands heads above the competition and was a clear choice for DTRally to partner with. Eugene Wong, DTRally driver, is excited to have Mini Mania behind the team for the 2003 ClubRally season. Mini Mania's contributions will go a long way towards maintaining the survivability of the car in harsh rally conditions and will help improve performance within the limited constraints outlined by SCCA rules.
