However I am (and always have been!!) a MINI enthusiast and can't wait to upgrade, but obviously must wait till I can afford it. So how much do you pay and at what age?

I'm 27, 53 plate Cooper S and paying £500 through MNI Insurance and i have been driving for 10 years!

I will be honest Sam i don't think you will get reasonable insurance for a Cooper S for at least 2 or 3 years!

The cooper S is group 15 and the ONE is group 5 which is quite a large jump!
regardless of vehicle price the insurance group will always be the one of the determining factors! the cars will always have similar performance regardless of age and price !

other things that will affect the price are location where the vehicle is kept, where you live and most important your age and driving experience, i.e your 17 and currently you only have less then 3 months since you passed your test!

If you want to bring your insurance down do something like the pass plus course as completing it some insurance companies will give you a discount!

How much is the insurance on your Mini ONE?
