hello. i tried to search but i suck at searching hahah.. and i couldnt find a thread talking about non-dealer mechanics.
i have an 02
MC. i bought it new. its has only 38K miles on it. ...
i brought it to the dealer for a checkup bc it was throwing a CEL and some rubbing noises on turns ...
so, it turns out the o2 sensor after the cat is fried ..
and i need new rotors and pads ...
i wanted to take this opportunity to do a few things to the car like a cat back exhaust, sloted rotors and semi-race pads, maybe a sway bar .. and taking some other sugguestions.
BUT, the big issue is finding a honest and good quality mechanic that is qualified to work on the mini ... and knows them.
any suggestions? i live in the hollywood hills so the valley is just as close as the city but i also dont mind a drive for the right mechanic.
so... where should i go? i what rotors, pads, exhaust would you recommend. what else should i consider? i'm almost thinking of having somebody bend me a custom exhaust .. thoughts?
