Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum and hoped that someone out there might be able to help me in my moment of desparation.

I have a 52 plate Mini Cooper which I cherish dearly and love to bits

. I am expecting my first baby in 9 weeks time and need to find someone who can deactivate my passenger side airbag (mine wasn't fitted with a switch like later versions).

I contacted the dealership where I bought it from and they want to charge me £2000 for the priviledge (no way am I paying that). I was put onto someone in the Midlands by Modern Mini magazine about 8 weeks ago, but they have proved to be very unreliable and we haven't been able to get the work done. Time is starting to run out.

I live in Northumberland (about 10 miles out of Newcastle) and need to find someone fairly local who can help me out. Is there anyone out there who can recommend someone who can do the job?
