And, another call for "first responder" volunteers to join Cathleen and me. You need to be current in your first aid certification but you do not need AED certification. Please PM me if you're interested.
So, if you had a hankerin' (wonder where that phrase came from?) to help out MOT in some way, here are your opportunities:
1) Packing Day in Bedford, MA, May 26th - contact Gavin (GadetGav)
2) Food Helpers at Base Tent, Saturday June 16th - contact Ivan (snek)
3) Traffic Control folks, Loon and Base, Saturday June 16th - contact Ivan (snek)
4) Medical first responders (need FA Certification), Loon and Base, Saturday June 16th - contact Theo (Theo)
5) General Volunteers, Friday and/or Saturday - contact Theo (Theo)
Shameless Guilt Paragraph
Folks, this is a volunteer-run event and
we do need volunteers. A lot of work is being done by just a few people at this point...and we are getting a bit crispy around the edges! Even if you can spare an hour or so at the Base or at Loon, please let us know. It is a great way to give back to the event, to enhance the enjoyment of others, and to prevent a core group of folks from over medicating themselves. Thank you for your support!
