Beth describes the situation accurately Josh.
Historically, it seems no-one mentioned pets with the auto road, we were ignorant and some pets showed up. But in 2006, the subject was discussed - officially pets are not allowed on the auto road fields, since other events during the summer have children playing on those same fields, etc, etc. It's not a food issue but a field issue ... although if someones pet was on the table where I ate dinner, I'd be unhappy [of course I realize no-one would do such a thing!]

So, for MOT2006, the auto road UNOFFICIALLY allowed the pets we had coming. If the pets caused trouble then it would be no pets for future years - but the pets (and their owners!) behaved.
So this year, again unofficially, we are not banning pets.
On the other hand, we're not welcoming pets - a small number is easier to control, hence Beth & Louis decision last year to return their dogs to the hotel.

Your little guy Josh is unlikely to cause hassle. If he behaves well in your care, I see no issues. But that's my UNOFFICIAL opinion

PS:
We don't have more tables than are under the tent.
