| I wouldn't want to fog up the flickr metaverse with EVERY photo. It's a community to me, and I post only my good photos to flickr, or at least those that warrant discussion.
But every photo of mine is publicly viewable on my regular server. On the contrary, flickr provides much better privacy controls, allowing you to specify which groups can see the photo, as well as various copyright and sharing specifications.
Considering I regularly use the Photos from My Contacts on the front page to view everyone's new photos, and I go until I hit photos I've seen before, I would be very very unhappy if one of you suddenly posted 6500 photos..
But the absolute bottom line is never keep your photos in just one place. |
