Ok....Just had the Pump, Wiring Loom and connectors replaced under goodwill from BMW UK.
My Main Dealer informed me the Pump is an electrical version which is why they can switch on and off without notice. The following info is worth noting....
We were informed that if BMW Pay for the whole repair the 2 year warranty will not apply therefore we had to pay the grand total of £9.99 towards the costs inorder to receive the warranty ! How odd is that ? So basically if your car is out of warranty and BMW agree to pay for the whole costs you will not have a warranty ! Strange but true !
