Mine came off the day I got my car
I bought some replacement from a local hardware shop and they did not last long either, so I decided to leave it without any protection.
A month has passed and so far no problem on mine, at least the last time I checked.
I believe anything will not be a permanent solution as when the rear hatch closed, it closed in an angle, meaning in the long run it will shift any type of protection adhered.
