I'll defo go for the small block. but am seriously considering adding the larger item.

Thanks,

No, the M2 advertising is the cost that I have had to pay to Mr Mullett to be allowed to advertise the item on here - its done on the same basis as any other site sponsor (GTT, Whalen, MiniPirate etc). For the duration of the offer I am a Mini2 sponsor, not an indevidual. there will be no reference to Mini2 on the block at all, and no other thrid party advertising.

I will hopefully have photos of the end product by the end of the week at the latest, and will be using them in my main offer thread (this is still supposed to be a 'teaser thread', as my sponorship is for the month of July - thanks Paul for allowing it btw).

Personally, I too think the larger block would be worth having even at this cost, mainly due to the fact that this will be almost completely a 'one off' exclusivity of the item. We have gone for much more detail in the design than they usually use for these when you consider 'mass produced' items, and the further exclusivty of the fact that the roof number makes the item indevidually unique also.

The reason the glass blocks seem so expensive for larger sizes is the sheer vloume of the glass means there would be much more scope for internal blemishes (termed 'inclusions' I think) in the block, therefore the larger the block the more likely the item would fail in terms of quality control. However, I still think they are dissproportionatly expensive. I have tried to negociate a better price with the supplying company, but the problem we have is despite the cost to us being high, such a low production run means they are not interested in offerring preferential rates. Its a factor of the exclusivity of this offer in fact. If I was confident of selling 500 pieces then I'm sure they would be much more inclind to offer us a better deal. At this rate though I thinkI'll be lucky to move 30 of them.
