Isn't it funny how things happen? I started this thread a couple of weeks ago, precisely because I'm not at all convinced by this new MINI colour. Well, I've been working as a contributor for a local radio show about cars since February, and the fun thing about this whole thing is that I get to drive lots of different cars (and visit some really cool places too)!
I've driven all kinds of cars lately, from FIATs, Nissans, Peugeots, Suzukis, to a Hummer H2!
This week, we were finally given the chance to test drive a brand new 2007 MINI Cooper! Oh boy, was I excited when I was told that we were going to test drive the new MINI!
But, guess what? Of all the possible colours that are available, we were given an all Sparkling Silver MINI Cooper!!!
I've been driving this car since Tuesday and will have it until Saturday.
I drove it all day today! And, I just don't feel that I'm driving a MINI when I see this colour surrounding me!
My father loved it. A couple of friends saw it and they told me that this colour looks out of place in a MINI.
People in general didn't even look at it... and, it's brand new (and MINIs aren't all that common here in Mexico)!!! I get far more attention driving my two year old LY/W MINI!!!
The interior is gorgeous though, it has the tan leather seats with the piano black inserts. But I wonder how much nicer that interior would look with an all black exterior (especially with the discontinued solid black!)...
Anyway, I just wanted to share this with you. I respect your colour choices and hope nobody gets offended by this brief story.
