| Many kudos to the MoT organizers and volunteers. A special thanks to whichever one of you has enough influence with the Abenaqui to arrange for such an outstanding weather gift from "Great Spirit" Agiocochook.
After some quality time at Loon with old (and some new friends), my sons and I headed for the Attitash alpine slide. We took the first run at speed just for you, Pat!
Unfortunately the day ended sooner than we planned. In pursuit of a perfect "up the tree" camera shot of all 250 MINIs at the access road, Paul reached for just one branch too high. Branch snapped off in his hands and he fell backwards about 6 feet to the ground. Lucky the branch didn't wack his head, but he did land on his right elbow. He tried valiently to brush it off, but I could still see the pain deep in his eyes after 30-40 minutes. So we opted to spend some quality time in the ER instead of heading both cars up the old rock pile.
Oh well, the elbow is now set in a cast and should be fine in 3-4 weeks. I do hope someone else was able to enjoy the summit in our places. |
