I'm afraid that your dealer has told you a complete and utter load of rubbish.
The "fun flat" indicator is a part of the ABS system. It detects the rotation speed of the wheels, and if one or more is spinning faster than the others it assumes this is due to low pressure (fairly safe assumption!) and lights the flat tyre indicator.
It will do this if you have run-flats, non-run-flats or solid rubber tyres. It doesn't know or care what pressure or type of tyre you have, just they're all spinning at the same rate.
As for the "flashing orange light", is it flashing ALL the time? Is it on solid? Is it coming and going? If it is the runflat indicator, you'll just have to check your pressures and reset it (instructions in the manual, involves pressing a button). It could be a fault however. So a better description of the light and it's behaviour would help. There aint no party like my nana's tea party |
