Alta Mini Performance - ALTA's R56 Parts for the Dragon
on there's the BOV stuff, i dont' have one personally but i talked to the tech guy at Alta and he said it may not be a good idea to install them just yet until they know the perfect amount of various little tuning bits to make the ECU not freak out so much.
Location btw is underneath the turbo... i say this because of it's position and if you look at the Turbo Upgrade alta offers... (once again, don't get, as of right now such an upgrade is a lil bit useless until vishnu or someone comes out with their ECU Piggyback), it seems to go under the turbo and toward the right side of the engine block, whihc makes sense because of where a recirculating BOV would go (was that redundant??? i think it was.... recirculating BOV i guess versing an atmospheric bov.... so never mind i guess it does work...)
In all honesty btw, in my humble opinion, i say if you want power on ur R56MCS, it IS a turbo car, so start with catback (or turboback if you have the money) there are a couple ones out there to chose from, then worry about air box, by the time you get to airbox i'm sure the
JCW higherflowing one will be out and availible. i personally have doing very few power mods, right now i'm going with purely suspension mods. reducing unsprung weight and such.
but if you do get the air filter... let me know how it works, because it's supposed to help a bit. and i don't think alta would claim it would some something and actually be lying. those guys are way too classy for that
