Nope the maps are held in ROM not RAM so are not lost or reset otherwise they'd go if you disconnected the battery too. You're effectively restarting the software that makes the control modules work.

It's like resetting your PC when something goes wrong. When it restarts all your programs are still there. Your map is like a program.
