You don't HAVE to bore out the block nowadays. You can just get a stroker kit. This gives you the higher engine displacement, without having to go to the effort of machining the block. A lot of Jap cars do it, best example is the Civic Type R, you can go from 2.0ltr up 2.2 or 2.4, from what i have seen, it is a case of putting longer stroke pistons and rods in, with a few extra bits in there of course. I think it is a cheaper way of going for more displacement aswell. I'm sure somebody could come up with a kit. May well be one for Roland and the GTT boys?
