There's a lot of small motels in Watkins Glen, though I'm not sure of their prices or reputations.
Watkins Glen and Schuyler County, NY - Our people places and events

Seneca Lodge and the Glen Motor Inn are 2 of the biggest, and right in town. Geneva is 45 minutes away, but on the way from the Thruway.
