Trip computer was an optioinal extra. Difficult to know unless you can obtain the original factory spec sheet from the dealership that is selling the car. If you have the chassis number or the original factory/dealer registration number you can ask your local BMW dealer if they will give you the factory order sheet (or ask the seller to obtain this and email/post it to you)
My understanding is that all the MINIs have the trip cumputer on board, but it is not activated and the wiring is there but not plugged into the special steering wheel stalks. To get it in theory you need a nice dealer to activate and some replacement stalks and then it should work ... but thats just something I heard on the grapevine (don't get the dealer to actually retrofit it...do it yourself if its possible and then request (if they will even consider it) activation? |
