If you want them to look fat then the offset is what will do that. Going to 8" will mean some serious thought on tyre size/stretching to allow them to clear I would think (and this is what lead to them being damaged like my dares were when runnig stretched tyres). But that said you won't know till you try.
Personally if you want fat I'd do 17"x7" in a low offset and a fat tyre. Eg 35 with a 215 or 225
Ok mate, not sounding good then
I can only get these wheels in 17x8, to get 7" wide you have to go 16" diameter
