I have taken the plunge and decided to sell the cooper s. I have loved the car from start to finish but my warantee runs out this week and I dont fancy the newer cooper s.
Dont know what it is about the new s - mainly the lack of supercharger - but it just didnt grab me like the old one did. I will miss my mini - and would have no problem in recomending them to any one who asks. If you want to go from one place to another as quickly and safely as possible there is not much to challange it- and add to that the fact that everyone likes to see them on the roads.
This site was great when I was speccing my s- and has helped me out no end during ownership -went to a couple of meets as well which were a good laugh
However - onwards and upwards.............after much deliberation I have decided to buy a Renault Clio R27 F1 edition-- it blew away everything else that I tested - and as I have managed to negotiate a very good deal for it it works out at incredible value for money.
I would apreciate it if people could give me an idea on whether a valuation of £10, 500 ono is sensible for my car. It is on autotrader at the moment and I only have a month to sell it or the renault dealer will get it.- if anyone is interseted- I am in Oxfordshire and I will listen to offers.
Cooper s 2004, 48,995 miles
Chilli pack, manual aircon, half leather, cd player(alpine), miltec back box, evrything else is standard
recently taxed, 4 tyres- 2 months old, brakes were changed all round recently, full bmw service history.
3000 miles ago Bmw fitted a new cat, manifold and head gasket all under guarantee-- due to an oil leak and faulty oil light. Nothing else wrong with the car and I have had it from new - it has been well looked after - run in correctly - optimax fuel from new.
Generally very good condition- alll four alloys have some kerbing but it is nothing major.

And the new car - due to arrive on 13th october - will look exactly like this one
