Haven't posted for ages but the mention of the GOR caught my eye. I will be heading off this weekend hopefully to explore an alternate, more mini friendly, route to Apollo Bay. For any who know the Otways at all - Turtons Track is almost sealed. A road to rival many of the ones we enjoyed in Tassie with club mini. I am sure I can find a fully sealed inland route.
Have started to see a few more minis around Geelong recently - 2 spring to mind a DS S with q'land plates near the hospital and a dark blue S (rego TTB ...) near the tax office.
Chuckled at a few number plates the other day: Red Commodore, doofdoof music, cap backwards, seat reclined, neon washers, HRT xxx (must be having hot flushes despite the HRT)
STD - ?!don't go near unless wearing protection
RPD - maybe an "in" joke for my industry = Removable Partial Denture
I accept it was late at night when I saw these and I was tired.
Rumours around Geelong that the speed trials would be back next year have turned out to be false.
Rumours of a motor sport centre cw drag strip, club circuit, F1 capable circuit etc near Avalon can be confirmed - fully funded by o'seas interests and now at environmental impact/coucil stage - should be good. Maybe Geelong can steal the F1 from Melbourne before Sydney does and lift the football cup thingy.
For myself - only 8 hours 'til the world cup starts - all recorders in the house set. |
