Hi all, I wanted some advice from some of you more experienced MINI owners. I have a 53 reg Cooper S, and I think my car has fake leather gaiters (its unmodified - maybe someone can clarify this?).

Anyway, I wanted to know what the options are in the way of upgrading this. I remember seeing on the MINI website, under accessories, a Panther leather 6 speed gear knob for the Cooper S complete with gaiter. Has anyone bought this, how different is this to my current gearknob (mine already appears to be made of leather)? I also saw a Panther Black leather hanbrake handle. I'm not sure if this has a matching gaiter or not, and whether its any different to the standard handbrake handle which is already fitted to my MINI. Does anyone know if MINI do real leather gaiters seperately at all?

Next up is the John Cooper Works stuff. I know they do the alacantera gaiters seperately. Has anyone fitted these with the standard gear knob and handbrake handle? I'm not sure whether they would go well together or not. Any pictures? Otherwise I could go the whole hog and get matching gear knob and handbrake handle, but without the alacantera steering wheel would this not go? I did want ot get the JCW leather dash and downtubes and fit out the whole lot, but unfortunately my car is an early model with 5 piece dash so I can't.

Just want some feedbacl really, and some pictures of what all you guys and girls have in your cars. I know its a bit of a boring subject but I don't wanna go splashing out on these items if their not gonna look good at the end.
