Genesis Profile 69 Subs - but what amp?

Hi there,

I'm a complete beginner to this - so I must apologise in advance!

A little bit of background info: I'm 'in the middle' of upgrading my MINI's sound system. So far, I have got an Alpine 9831R headunit (old unit I know - but great sounding!) and replaced the front speakers with 16.5cm Infinity units, running off the head unit. Sounds great IMO, really crisp and sharp, but now it's the time to work on the bass.

I've settled on a set of Genesis Profile 69 6x9 subwoofers. The reasons for this being that I really can't afford to lose any amount of my boot due to using the car for work. Now obviously, I will need an amplifier to power these, BUT WHICH ONE?! Looking to spend £100-130ish. I'm happy keeping the components running off the head unit.

In the terms of configuration of the sub, anything I need to know? As far as I understand for the subs you need to play about with the low pass filter. Is bridging required? Looking at the diagrams in the Alpine manual, I have RCA's for Sub and Amp, which do I use?

Thanks in advance!
