One week in and I'm mighty impressed with this gearbox. I especially like how it downshifts in full-auto mode when braking into a corner or when coming to halt at traffic lights.
It does sometimes get a little confused - either holding a gear too long if you give it a squirt then back off; or by not shifting down when you would like it to. Nothing that isn't fixed with a quick pull/push of the paddles though - and when you do so, it's also smart enough to then shift itself back into full-auto mode if you then don't make another subsequent manual change for a little while afterwards. |
