I have an early 2007 MCS (picked up in March), and I get the light coming on with the sport button, but it's really dim and hard to see from the usual driving position. It's even worse in daylight, you have to put your head right over the gear stick and shield it from sunlight to be able to see it. Of course, as others have said, the instant fun factor on the throttle is a dead giveaway.

I have not noticed any messages in the rev counter, you have me curious now, I'll try it this morning.

Now proud owner of a 2007 Cooper S!
