There's never been a huge demand for small estate cars in this country... on the continent, cars such as the Fabia Wagon, Fiat Pallio, Polo Estate etc all sell very well, but there isn't the demand in the UK for them.

Then we go and buy more soft tops than anywhere else in Europe... funny the way it goes
