Brake pedal distance will increase because you have more pots on your calipers, hence need to supply a bigger volume of brake fluid to apply braking.

Certainly sounds like something is off balance.

Did you make sure that all mating surfaces were clean and free from high spots. If not the disc or caliper could be slightly off square.

You should check for run-out visually by rotating the disc and observing if it appears to move relative to the caliper and pad. If you have one, you could use a dial gauge on the disc.

Check if there is any apparent difference in movement between the LH and RH sides.
