Yes, I understand most new cars display the VIN in the windscreen, just like if a fraudster wanted to clone a car he would go to a local dealer or garage or even go up to a car in the car park and get the vehicle registration number.
Just makes it more easier for them to research on the net, there they have a catalogue of BIN numbers. When I advertise a car, I would only disclose the reg number to the enquirer. I would have to meet him or her first before disclosing any further details for example doing a Vehicle HPi check etc... |
