The steering wheel hums when turned, i'm told this is normal and it's to do with the electric power steering. can anyone out there reassure me?

Hi Sting ,If you are refering to when the car is going slowly or stationary when you here the noise then it is more than likely the powered steering and is normal...I used to like the sound personally and when you turn off the ignition it almost sounds like you've landed as the noise subsides

If it's when you are driving normally i would consult your dealer.
